The Nutcracker

Have you ever heard about the Nutcracker Ballet? Well it's also a book! I really like reading the nutcracker because it's not like I can go to the ballet every day. I think it's fun to see and read the illustrations and the writing because it's reminds me of Christmas and the Holidays.

If you haven't heard about the Nutcracker, it's about a girl named Clara. Her parents are hosting a christmas party. They invite friends and family to come and celebrate. Clara receives a nutcracker from her mischievous God father. Then her little brother Fritz takes a hold of it and tries to grab it out of Clara's hand. They fight over it Clara trying to get it back... all of the sudden the nutcracker breaks. But Clara's God father comes to the rescue and the nutcracker is fixed. Later when the guest leave clara goes to bed but finds rats rooming around. Then she starts shrinking and her Christmas grows bigger. Then her Nutcracker comes alive and brings her to the land of sweets where she meets the Snow Queen, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. She goes on wonderful sweet adventurous.

Little Woman

Little Woman is a great books by Louisa May Alcott. It is about four girls that are sisters. Their father is in the war and their mother is very busy working to earn money, while the girls try to do the same.
The oldest sister is Meg, she has a very kind personality and is very generous. Next is Jo (short for Josephine) she is a "tom girl" and very tough and energetic. Then there is Beth, quiet, kind and very caring and sensitive. Then last but not least is Amy, boastful, a little sassy, but mostly kind and very fun. It is very exciting and fun to read! It tells about everything they do in their life.

Their are different book series about them, like there are books on  just the sisters. There are books about what they do. And there is the first original book. The original book has 2 or 3 parts, and it is super cool. Please click HERE to purchase the book.

Rainbow Magic Books

First of all I don't really read the Rainbow Magic books, but my little siblings really like them so I decided to do a book review on the books.

Rainbow Magic books are about two girls named Kristy and Rachel. They are friends with fairies all around the world, but they cannot tell anyone about them. It's a big secret. Every book is about a different fairy. And some how the fairy is always in some type of trouble. There are all types of fairies. There are different categories like the music fairies, the Jewel fairies, and the christmas fairies, and lots, and lots of others. But one fairy happens to be in trouble and Kristy and Rachel must find a way to help. In the end Kristy and Rachel help save the day or the week. These books are adventurous and fun, silly and funny. Ride by Moonlight

Ride by Moonlight is one of my favorites by Michelle Bates. It's about this girl named Karen that goes to this equestrian riding center, called Sandy Lane Stables, but does not ride. She is scared to ride ever since her accident with one of the horses she was riding. She helps around the stalls and in the barns. There is a couple that runs the program that has known Karen almost all their life. The woman is pregnant and ready to give birth but her husband has to go on an important errand and leaves Karen to watch his wife. While the man is gone his wife starts getting really worried and feels like she will give birth. So in the middle of the night Karen has to go out to find a phone so that she can call the hospital. He has one problem - she won't find a phone alone and won't find a phone in time. So she decides to conquer her fears, and ride her horse. Karen has challenges on the way! Will she make it? You find out.

Whatever After Book Series

The Whatever After series is a great book series. It's about how a 10 year old girl named Abby and her younger brother Jonah are taken into Snow Whites story through their magic mirror in their basement. They get there just in time to - well just watch the video and it will explain all about the book series. But basically they end up ruining the disney princess's story, and then fix them in a quite different way.

Harry Potter, Book 1 and 2

To start of I really like Harry Potter. It seems like I wouldn't like Harry Potter because I love Kisses from Katie, and they are very, very different. WRONG. I love it!!! I don't really know that much about Harry Potter because I've only read the fist two. So I don't know that much about it but I am still reading it and learning. But Harry Potter 1 and 2 are great! They are so exciting and so interesting! They are a little intense and creepy but still amazing. I love how Hermione is so smart and I love how Harry and Ron each have different stories but get along really well. I love how exciting it is and how adventurous it is! There are things rooming around the halls from ghosts and goblins to wrestling tress and trolls. I think almost anyone would like it!

Kisses from Katie

Kisses from Katie is an amazing book by Katie Davis. It is about a true story on this girl that just finished her last year in high school. She is interested in going to Uganda, Africa. She first goes to Uganda with her mom to help in a home for sick babies. Then she goes there again and has very tough challenges there teaching a kindergarten class of around 135 children. She then lives there and works on adopting girls. While still in progress of adopting them she has to go to a semester of college. Then she comes back and adopts 13 children that have all been rescued and loved by her. I absolutely loved this book and hope that all the girls that are interested in helping Africa and orphans do to!! Here is a picture of Katie and only two of her girls. Go here to visit her blog. You can visit her sponsorship program website here.

Here is a video of her talking about her Amazima ministries sponsorship program.
